CUT Competitive Postgraduate Research Scholarships/Grants in South Africa, 2015

The Faculty of Management Sciences at CUT is offering postgraduate research scholarships to full-time post-graduate students on a competitive merit basis. The grants will be awarded for a maximum period of two (2) years for full-time Master’s and three (3) years for full-time Doctorate students; subject to the fulfillment of satisfactory progress in their research work. The grant will cover tuition fees, living expenses and project expenses. The application deadline is 13 March, 2015.
Study Subject(s): Scholarships are awarded in all the subjects available within the Faculty of Management Sciences. Preference will be given to proposals that focus on any of the following areas: Human Capital Development; Leadership Development in Africa; Tourism Destination Management; Environmental/Corporate Social Responsibility; Government Management; Business Ethics and Corporate Governance; Relationship Marketing; and Emerging Technologies in Business and Entrepreneurship.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master and doctoral programme.

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria are as follows:
Minimum requirement for Master-60% average at Honours or B.Tech level with at least a 60% mark in a Research Methodology course
Minimum requirement for Doctorate-65% at Master’s level
Note: Meeting the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee the award of the grant as it depends on the availability of funds.

How to Apply: Applications should be sent by post. Please include all of the following in your application: A completed and signed CUT Application Form, a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae, detailing your academic research achievements, where applicable, and/or area of interest, a certified copy of a South African Identity Document or a passport, a complete set of certified copies of qualifications (only certified copies of documents are required – please do not submit any original documents), a certified copy of the SAQ and a accreditation of any qualifications obtained at educational institutions outside South Africa.
