Abraaj RCA Innovation Scholarship for Masters Students in UK, 2015



Applications are invited for Abraaj RCA Scholarship for pursuing masters degree programme. Every year, for a period of five years, a cohort of five outstanding scholars will be selected for the scholarship. Scholarship will cover full international tuition fees to study at a Master’s level for two years at the Royal College of Art in London. A significant contribution towards living costs will also be provided. The application deadline is 10 April, 2015.

Scholarship Description: The Abraaj Group is recognised as a leading investor in growth markets with a long-standing track record of engaging with stakeholders. Consistent with its desire to be fully integrated in the markets in which it operates, Abraaj is delighted to expand its support of emerging creative talent around the world by working closely with the Royal College of Art in establishing this Scholarship.

Duration of award(s): Scholarship is awarded every year, for a period of five years.
What does it cover? The Abraaj RCA Innovation Scholarship will cover full international tuition fees to study at a Master’s level for two years at the Royal College of Art in London. A significant contribution towards living costs will also be provided.
Selection Criteria: To be awarded a Scholarship, candidates must demonstrate the potential to change the way people think and behave, and in doing so share the values of Abraaj in working for the betterment of the life and culture of their home countries.
Notification: A shortlist will be invited to make an application. If applicants have not been invited to make an application by the second week in May 2015 they should assume they have not been successful.
How to Apply: Students should apply directly to the College and follow the standard MA Application Process. The College will have absolute discretion on whether or not to provide a conditional acceptance. Applicants from all eligible countries will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 10 April, 2015. Late course applications within March and April may also be considered.

1. Loughborough University Graduate School Development Trust Africa Scholarships in UK, 2015-2016
Loughborough University is offering full-fee Africa scholarships for full-time taught postgraduate degree program. The scholarships will cover 100% of the course fees for applicants chosen postgraduate taught course for one year. Scholarship Applications will not be considered unless the applicant is holding an offer or a Place at the time of submission (offer may be conditional or unconditional). Applicants do not submit the scholarship application until they have received their offer letter. The application deadline is 30th April 2015.

Eligibility: The selection panel will use the following eligibility criteria when assessing applications:
-Currently domiciled (permanently living) in Africa
-Evidence of exceptional academic achievement (normally a 1st Class Honours Degree)
-Commitment to return to their home country on completion of postgraduate programme
-Evidence of the ability and commitment to making a significant contribution to their home country on their return
-Full understanding of the costs involved in coming to study and live in the UK
-Evidence of strong motivation and initiative to secure funds to cover the remainder of the costs involved

Scholarship Description: Loughborough University is delighted to announce full-fee scholarships for international full-time taught postgraduate students who are currently domiciled (permanently living) in Africa. These will be known as the Loughborough University Graduate School Development Trust Africa Scholarships. The scholarships will cover 100% of the course fees for your chosen postgraduate taught course for one year (replacing any Departmental or Loughborough University scholarships or bursaries you may already have been awarded). The scholarships are being funded through a combination of generous external funding and University funds. The University will award a limited number of scholarships and the standards required are very high. Students will be expected to fund their travel and maintenance costs through other sources. Evidence of maintenance funds must be included in the scholarship application.

Notification: All those applying will be notified of the outcome of their application by email by the end of May at the latest. The outcome will be either that your application is shortlisted, or your application was unsuccessful.
